Sony reveal PlayStation 5 in its “future of gaming” event, Sony gave us a first look at the PS5 console alongside an impressive list of games coming to the console.
Sony has revealed the PS5, as well as new games including Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Resident Evil 5.
On Thursday Sony revealed the futuristic design of the PlayStation 5, alongside the list of games coming with next-generation console. The announcement was made during an digital event watched by millions of people globally. The Japanese tech giant introduced two models of PlayStation 5: a regular one with a 4K Blu-Ray drive, and a “Digital Edition” that doesn’t include any disk drive. The PS5 can be placed vertically as well as horizontally, unlike the Nintendo Switch which is a hydrid console. The PS5 will come with futuristic next-generation DualSense controller.
By its futuristic design that helps to differentiate it’s flagship console from Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Series X. Matching the PS5 will be a number of accessories, including a camera, remote control and a headphones. Yet Sony has not announced the price or release date of the PS5. Also the pricing of accessories remains unknown at this moment.
Sony, like it’s competitor Microsoft, has been creating some hype around its console ahead of the launch which will happen during the 2020 Holiday season. In March architect Mark Cerny confirmed that the new console would have an 8-core CPU based on AMD RDNA 2-based GPU. The PS5 will sport 16GB of GDDR6 RAM. Traditionally PS4 had the hard drive, the PS5 comes with a solid state drive (SSD). The PS5 will also support 8K graphics, 4K graphics at a 120Hz refresh rate with 3D audio. And yes the PS5 will runs the PS4 games.
PlayStation 5 Games:
During an One hour-long livestream, Sony introduced a ton of games for the PlayStation 5 including Residential Evil 8, Sipder-Man: Miles Morales and Gran Turismo 7.
(PS5) Gran Turismo 7
Gran Turismo is developed by Polyphony Digital for PS5. The new title features a campaign mode that lets players customize and earn new cars by winning races. It’s totally a realistic racing game. Sony has not revealed the release date.
(PS5) Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales is an up coming PS5 game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is a stand alone expansion to Spider-Man The Spider Verse animated movie in 2018.

Resident Evil 8: Village is the big title announced for the PlayStation 5. It’s a sequel of the survival horror game “Resident Evil 7”. The game is set to released in 2021. Resident Evil developed by Capcom. It’s a first person game and hunted house atmosphere make it more horror and interesting.
(PS5) Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden West is the sequel of Horizon Zero Dawn, the open world game set in a post apocalyptic world. Horizon is developed by Guerrilla Games which developed KillZone. This game based on a young girl called Aloy that will explore new frontiers of America. Horizon Forbidden West has no confirm release date yet.
