Micromax is planning to comeback with three new smartphones. Micromax hasn’t teased any of its upcoming smartphones but it has been responding to tweets confirming the launch. Maybe next month the new Micromax smartphones will debut. The all three smartphones are also said to be priced under ₹10,000. Among three one would be budget smartphone with premium features and modern look.
Firstly Micromax confirmed it is working on new smartphones on Twitter. In tweet people asking the company to launch new phones that can serve as alternative to Chinese smartphones in India. There has been a growing number of anti-China sentiments due to ongoing clashes between India and China. In social media trends to boycott Chinese goods, especially Chinese phones.
Micromax replied to the tweets saying, “Hi, Hitesh. Glad to see your support for #VocalForLocal. We are working hard internally and soon we will come up with something big. Stay tuned! #Micromax #MadeByIndian #MadeForIndian.”
Basically Micromax has a history of launching rebranded Chinese phones in India like Yu Yureka which is actually a Coolpad F2 8675 and Micromax Dual 4 a.ka. ZTE Blade V8. It is interesting to see how Micromax comeback with organic smartphones in India market and also how much it will cause a dent in the Indian smartphones market which is currently dominated by Chinese brands.
How Micromax loss in Indian market ?
Micromax was once a leading domestic player in Indian Smartphones market. The Gurugram-based company even became the tenth largest smartphones company globally in the third quarter of 2014. However, due to Chinese companies expansion Micromax lost ground, due to some inventory issues as the 4G rollout in India proceeded.
