9 Millions TikTok Reviews Removed

Recently we saw tremendous hike in TikTok reviews on Google Play Store. Which leads to the downgrade of TikTok app rating on Google Play Store from 4.5 to 1.2 star. Now, Google has removed around 9 millions of negative reviews of TikTok app from Play Store which upgrades the overall app rating from 1.2 to 1.5 star. At the time of writing this article TikTok app has 1.5 star rating and 23 millions reviews.

On the other hand, the lower smartphone version of TikTok app (i.e. TikTok Lite) has 1.1 stars rating on Google Play store.

Ever since the CarryMinati YouTube vs TikTok fight began. The TikTok has not been getting positive reviews on the entire web. Many claimed, that the quality of content on TikTok are not so good. While some said that it doesn’t value the creator’s work as anybody can get views on TikTok by copying someone else. This can be visible in app’s reviews on Google Play Store.

However, TikTok safeguard itself by saying that “Keeping people on TikTok safe is our top priority”. We already clearly mentioned content norms as per our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. As per our Community Guidelines, we ban content that promote hateful ideologies, risks safety of others, misleading information that causing harms or praises violence against women. Those users who don’t follow our community guidelines. We ban their accounts and take down their content, and work with law enforcement agencies as appropriate.

It is also interesting fact that the rating of TikTok on iOS App Store is still at 3.5 stars. Considering the recent development, Google might remove additional TikTok reviews on Google Play Store. This will include reviews created using a new Google account in a bid to restore the original rating of the app.
